Penn State Abington is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Assistant Athletic Director. This position will report to the Director of Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation and will be responsible for assisting and supporting the mission and core values of the University. The Assistant Athletic Director will be required to adhere to all University rules and regulations as well as those established by the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) and the NCAA. Penn State Abington is a member of the NCAA at the Division III level. The position will serve as a member of the athletic department management team and represent the institution at conference and NCAA meetings, functions and special events. The position will also act as a liaison for female student-athletes and staff to athletic administration, conference staff and the NCAA; maintain the department's policy and procedure manual as well as the student-athlete handbook; provide advisory support to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC); serve as a sport administrator for selected varsity sport programs; and assist the Director of Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation to ensure the department is compliant in Title IX and gender equity issues. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred. Previous collegiate athletic administrative experience is preferred. This is fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
