Kansas State, a NCAA Division I institution which competes in the Big 12 Conference, is currently accepting applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant to the Women’s Basketball Team.
This position will be responsible for assisting the Kansas State Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff with sport specific tasks to include but not limited to: traveling with the team, equipment inventory control, game preparation, practices, video, camps and clinics and all other duties as assigned by the Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff. All activities shall be conducted within the policies and resource framework of the University, the Athletics Department, the Big 12 Conference, and the NCAA.
A bachelor’s degree
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
The successful candidate must possess a strong work ethic
One year experience coaching or other related work experience with a high school or collegiate Men's or Women’s Basketball team
Previous collegiate student-athlete
Working knowledge of Synergy, Sports Code and other video software programs
Experience in creating social media platforms content
Applicants selected for the position must then apply for and be accepted into the K-State graduate school. Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate school hours in the fall and spring semesters.
Applicant must be willing to work nights and weekends.
