Must relate well with people and have demonstrated knowledge of women's softball.
Experience in a college admissions department is preferred.
Experience in customer service or recruiting is required.
Knowledge of software utilized in recruiting students and moving them through all stages to become enrolled including Microsoft office suite and familiarity with communication through various forms of social media.
Ability to develop a thorough knowledge of the academic and extra-curricular offerings at IHCC.
Ability to establish and maintain ongoing relationships with students, their parents, high school guidance counselors and teachers.
Willingness to travel frequently during certain portions of the year.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
This individual will be responsible for assisting in direction, coaching, recruiting, scouting, fund-raising, camps and academic monitoring. This position recruits high school and adult students to the college, selling the opportunities, benefits and advantages of a community college education at Indian Hills Community College. Conducts admission activities that are within College policies and in accordance with professional ethics established by the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC).
Help recruit players for team. Includes overnight, weekend, and out-of-state travel.
Provide academic support and guidance to student athletes.
Aid in facility maintenance.
Attend all games and practices as directed by the Head Coach.
Create practice plans.
Observe players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement.
Coach players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques of the sport.
Assist in game strategy.
Scout opposing teams as assigned.
Assist in fund-raising activities throughout the year. Includes weeknights and weekend activities.
Assist with community service efforts.
Organize softball camps.
Supervise strength and conditioning program.
Assist with establishing and enforcing team rules.
Purchase and inventory team equipment.
Adhere to college, conference, and NJCAA rules and regulations.
Will be asked to assist the Dean of Students in working with academic divisions to create, implement, and maintain communications plans in CRM Communications Relationship Management) software.
Plans travel, visits high schools and represents the College at college day/night programs and other recruiting fairs.
Communicates with prospective students and families to determine their interest in Indian Hills Community College. Give presentations about the college in individual and group settings.
Prepares written reports and completes office activities as assigned.
Maintain contact with prospective students through CRM software including follow-up communication by phone calls, social media interaction, web chat/Skype to help answer their questions and move on to the next step in their life cycle.
Have the ability to work with prospective students in navigating all steps of the admissions process from inquiry, application, orientation and ultimately registration.
Assist students with information about the transition to college. Have the ability to give general advice on college life, academic programs, student activities and organizations, and student life.
Represent the college in a positive manner.
Work with the Coordinator, Campus Visit & Recruitment in the development of programming (presentations, videos, student panels) for all visit day and orientation events.
Will play an integral role during on campus visit days and mandatory orientation events.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work
