SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking and engaging Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach (part-time) to the join the Athletics Department. Under the direction of the head women's volleyball coach, the assistant coach will have responsibilities within all aspects of program management including, but not limited to: practice and game preparation, recruiting, scheduling of team travel and meals, coordination of film review sessions, planning of team activities, scouting reports on opponents, driving 12-15 passenger van for away games, game day and practice facility set-up, academic monitoring, and fundraising and/or community service coordination.
1 - 2 years of experience coaching volleyball at a competitive level (collegiate, club, or high school varsity).
Strong background in volleyball skill analysis and ability to demonstrate techniques.
Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes.
Experience in motivating players to achieve maximum levels of performance.
Evidence of ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues and the public.
Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Must be reliable, dependable, and passionate about volleyball, and value attention to detail.
Commitment to the philosophy of intercollegiate athletics at SUNY Delhi.
Valid Driver's License
Current CPR / First Aid certifications
Knowledge or experience with NCAA DIII rules and compliance.
Starting and ending dates: August 6, 2018 - Nov. 16, 2018
Work schedule: Afternoons, evenings, weekends during the fall season
Salary: $4,000 (part-time)
