Summary of Position
The University of New Hampshire Athletics Department seeks applications for an assistant women's soccer coach. This is a full-time/non-benefited, 12-month position.
Assist the head coach in the coaching and administration of a Division I intercollegiate women's soccer program; work with staff in preparing for home & away matches (travel itineraries and match preparation); oversee equipment; monitor study hall, video analysis; scouting reports; community outreach; team camps and clinics; team travel; and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Bachelor's degree required. Three to five years of collegiate playing and/or coaching experience in the sport of soccer. Strong technical and tactical knowledge in teaching and coaching soccer. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of New Hampshire, the America East Conference and the NCAA; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; superior verbal and written communication skills; effective organization and administrative skills, including proficiency with computer software applications required.
One to three years of playing and/or coaching at the NCAA Division I or NCAA championship level; experience playing or coaching at ODP and/or high level club preferred. Experience coaching and instructing female athletes preferred. Preference will be given to candidates that most effectively meet the athletic development and recruiting needs of the women's soccer program.
