The Director of Performance Nutrition oversees the Performance Nutrition program for the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. This position will be a hands-on, integral member to the development and implementation of sports nutrition services for all student-athletes to optimize health and performance. Leading professional development, including supervision and mentorship of three full-time Registered Dietitians and several interns, the Director will promote growth within each staff member. The Director will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide appropriate nutritional counseling and education, along with food and meal operations to support the 24 intercollegiate varsity sports.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field plus five (5) years’ relevant experience in athletics sports nutrition. Required Licensees: Accredited as a Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration; Licensed in Nebraska or license eligible in Nebraska.
