Summary: Responsible for all compliance related activities as assigned including, but not limited to: monitoring eligibility, playing and practice seasons, recruiting, awards and benefits, student-athlete financial aid and employment, interpreting NCAA and Conference USA rules and regulations, etc.
Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance as assigned, including, but not limited to: monitoring eligibility, playing and practice seasons, recruiting, awards and benefits, student-athlete financial aid and employment, interpreting NCAA and Conference USA rules and regulations, etc.
Develops and maintains a comprehensive rules education program for department constituents.
Administers the annual coach's certification exam and managing the new coach's orientation program.
Utilizes NCAA Legislative Interpretation Database in an effort to obtain up-to-date information regarding interpretations of NCAA legislation.
Knowledge of and compliance with NCAA Rules and Regulations including attendance of NCAA Rules Seminars, timely completion of all NCAA forms and requests for information.
Employee agrees to abide by the Code of Ethics as set forth by the University of Texas at El Paso and the University of Texas System.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Education required: Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum Experience required: One year of NCAA Division I compliance related experience. Working knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance practices. Excellent written and oral communication skills a must. Occasional traveling required.
