Manage a portfolio of approximately 200 donor prospects capable of giving mid-level annual gifts to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
In consultation and coordination with the Director of Athletics and the Associate Vice President for Annual Giving, develop and implement an annual giving strategy for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics that focuses on recruiting, retaining and stewarding donors for contributions up to the $25,000 level.
Coordinate fund raising activities that supports a plan to encourage the “pipeline of gifts culture” within the Department of Athletics leading to contributions of increasing amounts from year to year in a progression from annual contributions to major contributions.
Collaborate with the Telefund and Annual Giving department to draft solicitation letters and coordinate all other annual giving activities and fundraising materials for Athletics.
In collaboration with the Associate Vice President for Annual Giving, coordinate activities in connection with Lipscomb Day of Giving.
Respond to donor inquiries with accurate and timely information. Collect donor impact stories and scholarship recipient “Gratitude” stories.
Ensure the Department of Athletics website content and links with appeal codes are updated as needed.
Develop a millennial engagement plan and implement opportunities to engage new young alumni.
Work with coaches and the Director of Athletics to identify, evaluate and develop/implement appropriate cultivation and solicitation strategies.
Collaborate with the Associate Vice President of Annual Giving and the Office of Alumni Relations to help foster support for the Department of Athletics and engage alumni donors and prospects through Lipscomb Alumni engagement events and programs.
Form strong working relationships with important internal and external constituents, faculty, Lipscomb departments and corporate partners. _______

Bachelor’s degree required.
Two years sale, development or related experience required.
Must be able to interact with stakeholders from a wide range of professional and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to represent the University with tact and diplomacy at all times required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required for written and verbal contact with donors and alumni.
Excellent relationship building skills for both internal and external constituents.
Outstanding organizational skill necessary.
Strong professional ethics and computer literacy required.
Some evening and weekend work required.
