Entry level opportunity to assist the Head Softball Coach with pitching instruction and training of student athletes in the softball program.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
1.Provides assistance to Head Coach with activities and essential daily work associated with the program and student athletics, including but not limited to, maintaining fields, organizing practice, developing game plans and eligibility matters.
2. Monitors athletes' behavior in dormitory. Assist with skill development and academic progress.
3. Performs other duties as assigned.

Resides in residence hall and enforces student policies. Serves as a positive role model for students; leads by example and enforces all college policies.

Promotes the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Represents Grayson College in a positive manner in the community and actively promotes Grayson College programs.
Three to four years' experience playing at the college level.
Ability and desire to motivate student-athletes succeed academically and athletically.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with Administration, Faculty, Coaching Staff, and student athletes.
Must have knowledge of the game, skill level to teach the game, and comprehension of evaluating talent.
Passion to be a highly transformational coach.
Drive to recruit and develop players.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
Ability to routinely travel by car or bus.
This position requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing, repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping.
Job may require periodic lifting of heavy objects over 50 pounds.
Occasional exposure to variable weather conditions.
May be exposed to bodily fluids.
