Purpose of Position
Assists the head coach in recruiting studentathletes, coaching, promoting and managing all phases of a Division I intercollegiate softball team in compliance with all NCAA, Conference USA, and institutional rules and regulations.
Responsibilities include, assisting head coach in organizing and managing all phases of a division I softball program but not limited to recruiting, team travel, strength and conditioning, studentathlete monitoring, game scheduling, budget management, public speaking, community involvement, summer camp instruction, etc.
Organizing and managing all aspects of a Division I Women's Softball Program Coaching student athletes in preparation for competition and during competitions.
Overseeing and participating in the entire studentathlete process while complying with all applicable NCAA, Conference USA and university rules and regulations.
Develop competition schedule and coordinate game contracts.
Assist in budget development and operate Women's Softball program within allocated budget. Oversee all aspects of summer camps and clinics.
Maintain positive public relations with the El Paso community, donors, supporters, and media representatives.
Bachelor's degree and prior collegiate softball and/or NCAA Division I softball coaching or playing experience.
May work in extreme temperatures.
