The University of Miami seeks an Athletics Performance Psychologist who be charged with coordinating and providing performance psychology services exclusively to Miami varsity student-athletes. This individual is also charged with developing positive helping relationships across the Athletics Department and University in supporting professional staff who directly impact the experiences of student-athletes. The position will also provide triage for mental health needs and as a liaison to the University's Counseling Center.
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
A degree, emphasis area or specialization in sport psychology
Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida as a Psychologist
Ability to Communicate and interact effectively, respectfully and appropriately with diverse populations in the Department, the University, and the community
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, staff and parents
Excellent written and electronic communication
Able to efficiently and effectively maintain paper and electronic files
Capable of handling multiple tasks in a high stress environment
Minimum of two years of experience in intercollegiate athletics
AASP Certified or certification-eligible and/or APA Division 47 Fellow Status
