Reporting to the head men's and women's swim coach, this position is responsible for the development of a competitive Men's and Women's swimming program within the guidelines of the NCAA DII, BMC, and Carson-Newman University. Includes all aspects of a collegiate swimming program; recruiting, scouting, budgeting, planning, organizing, scheduling, monitoring academic performance and promoting intercollegiate athletics. working hours will be split between pool deck coaching and work in the swim office.
At least 2 years experience coaching intercolegiate swimming. Familiarity with coaching related software, including team manager software for tracking meets; Prior training as a student athlete in swimming; Knowledge of prevention and care of athletic injuries; Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification; Eligibility to drive departmental vehicles, including possession of or eligibility for CDL license;up to date lifeguarding certification.
