The Director of Golf must possess knowledge of the sport of golf, expertise in skills related to golf, confidence in developing and implementing competition strategies and experience in recruiting student-athletes whose attitudes and behaviors fit with the mission of the university.
The Director of Golf hires and supervises assistant coaches capable of supporting the mission of the position. The ability to develop a positive rapport with students, parents and other professionals in formal and informal settings is essential for successful coaching, teaching and recruiting.

At least five years of coaching experience at the collegiate level.
Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Ability to work with other professionals in the Athletics Department and other University Departments.
Maintain current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Willing and able to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Able to understand and follow rules, regulations and guidelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office, familiar with and able to use computers, and able to learn new software.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Able to handle confidential information with good judgement, tact and discretion.
