Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Associate AD for External Affairs will:
Have primary responsibility for revenue generation through corporate sales and ticket sales:
1) Primary responsibility for all corporate sponsorship and suite sales throughout the complete sales cycle including prospecting, sales calls, contracting, execution, fulfillment and coordination of proof-of-performance. Manage ongoing relationship with business partners and work to maximize contractual agreements.
2) Primary responsibility for developing, implementing and executing sales strategies to increase season ticket sales, group sales, single game ticket sales, student attendance at sporting events.
Direct and coordinate all Athletics marketing and promotional efforts.
1) Working with and directing Graduate Assistants, primary responsibility for fan experience at all home events; game-day scripts and execution of plans in and around athletic events; community service activities and initiatives; public relations initiatives and other activities designed to promote Lipscomb Athletics among the campus, alumni and fan constituents.
Coordinate all Athletics communications efforts.
1) Work closely with leadership in Athletic Communications to ensure effective communication and promotion of Lipscomb Athletics. Includes working with all social media and traditional channels across numerous constituent groups, both internally and externally, that work with the Athletic Department and University.
Oversee Director of Creative Services and all creative work within the department, both internally and with licensing and merchandising activities and relationships with Lipscomb’s media partners. Research, study, analyze and negotiate advertising, apparel and other licensing agreements.
Develop and implement strategies to engage all athletic programs in community service and community building activities.
Work with sponsors/leaders to integrate pep band, cheerleaders and mascot in game, marketing and promotional plans.
Prepare detailed and comprehensive reports for Director of Athletics of trends, findings and recommendations relating to strategy and cutting edge applications as relating to sales, marketing, community building and promotional strategies to benefit Lipscomb University Athletics.
Plan and executes initiatives and special projects as directed by the Athletic Director.

Regular night and weekend work is expected in this role.
Ability to work simultaneously with mutliple constituents and on multiple projects at one time is needed.
Strong networking and sales skills are required.
Strong organizational skills and an appreciation and attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills are all needed.
Demonstated knowledge of social media channels and strategy are required.
Ability to recruit, direct and retain student worker, interns and graduate assistants as needed
Ability to communicate effectively with University representatives, parents, students, alumni, donors and representatives of the business community
A results-oriented individual who demonstrates the ability to work well with people at all levels of an organization, warmly develops relationships with diverse constituencies, and simultaneously employs keen judgment
