Lynn University's graduate assistant program is designed to offer students financial support and professional experience while pursuing a graduate degree. GAs work under the supervision of a university staff or faculty member. Duties performed in this role must relate to the student's program of study. Lynn University, a NCAA Division II member and a member of the Sunshine State Conference, is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach. This is a 9-month position for two consecutive years. The ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal and organizational skills, display leadership, and have the ability to work independent and within a team-oriented environment. Graduate assistants are paid at a rate of $11.00 per hour and also receive a scholarship equal to 75% of the cost of graduate tuition, exclusive of fees, supplies, and other associated costs. Exact scholarship amount varies based on degree program and is determined by Student Financial Services. Application deadline is until May 24, 2018 or until filled.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing for training sessions
Leadership and monitoring of student-athletes during team travel
Preparing for special events
Position requires nights & weekends travel
Position also requires the coach to drive the team to away workouts and competition in university vehicles
Must be accepted to one of Lynn University's graduate programs as a fully accepted student
Minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher
Must be able to work 20 hours per week
Experience playing and/or competitive lacrosse
Eligibility to drive university vehicles
Interest in collegiate coaching as a career is preferred
