Reporting to the Deputy Director of Athletics for External Affairs, the Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Giving is responsible for all operations related to the athletics annual fund, sport specific annual fund initiatives, select corporate partnerships, as well as identifying prospects to become major gift donors. This position complements the development efforts of the Director of Athletics, the Deputy Director of Athletics for External Affairs, and will oversee all operations/staffing related to athletic fundraising events. The Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Giving will work with alumni, friends, and corporations to determine to grow the Thunderbird Athletic Foundation in both donor participation and dollars raised, manage all donor relations/benefits, and identify strategic opportunities to advance athletic fundraising priorities.
Position requires demonstrated ability to promote and successfully solicit annual giving dollars and provide leadership over an athletics annual fund; or related experience in marketing, sales, financial advising, public relations or related field with emphasis on relationship cultivation of individuals/businesses of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a strong sense of urgency coupled with demonstrated success in management of multiple priorities.
