Newberry College is accepting applications for Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse, a full-time staff position with an immediate start date. Newberry College is a member of the South Atlantic Conference and competes at the NCAA Division II level.
Responsibilities: The duties of the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach include, but are not limited to: recruitment and retention of a team that meets departmental roster goal numbers; practice and game coaching; conducting skill instruction sessions; fundraising; providing leadership to facilitate academic and personal success by the team’s student-athletes; performance of other administrative tasks necessary in coaching the team; involvement in the Newberry community with activities such as team community service work, camps, youth clinics and promotion of the sport; additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
A Bachelor’s degree and previous lacrosse coaching experience are required. Prior experience in NCAA Division II level athletics is highly desired.
