Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director
Direct and supervise all athletic department corporate sales, sponsorships and external revenue development. Oversee men's and women's golf teams and sports information department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. 1.Understand and agree to abide by the mission of CBU and the CBU Athletics Department. 2.Serve on the Athletic Director’s leadership team. 3.Identify and solicit corporate sponsorships. Negotiate contract agreements. 4.Identify and sell naming rights for athletic facilities; including but not limited to the events center and future projects 5.Establish a licensing program. 6.Service all sponsor agreements. Collaborate with the ticketing office, athletic development, and alumni relations on sponsorship deliverables. 7.Direct, supervise, or serve on special events run by the athletic department. 8.Responsible to know current NCAA, Conference, and University rules, regulations, and deadlines governing Athletic sports. 9.Supervise Director of Sports Information, Assistant Director of Sports Information, and graduate sports information assistants. 10.Oversee all website and external publications 11.Serve as sport supervisor for men’s and women’s golf or other assigned sport 12.Represent California Baptist University Athletics by participating on campus committees. 13.Maintain up-to-date information of sport regulations, rule changes, and NCAA policies. Report all compliance issues to compliance office. 14.Implement NCAA DI best practices relating to corporate sales. 15.Plan and implement strategies for securing advertising revenue; create and place potential radio and newspaper advertising spots including a media trade-out program to promote selected sports. 16.Effectively manage time in a demanding work environment. 17.Respond to all administrative correspondence in the requested time frame and attend all staff meetings. 18.Ensure the physical, emotional and social welfare of student-athletes. 19.Weekends and Evenings required. Travel with sports teams for championships or longer trips as assigned.
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Ability to work weekends and evenings with the ability to travel with sports teams. - Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. - Ability to make administrative, and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues. - A thorough knowledge of: Business English and arithmetic; general office methods, procedures and practices. - Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects. - Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position. - Ability to use independent judgment, and to manage and impart confidential information. - Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body. - Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. - Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. - Ability to maintain confidentiality. - Excellent telephone courtesy, knowledge and experience. - Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events. - Knowledge of standard budgeting, and expenditure control procedures and documentation. - Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. - Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments. - Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. - Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. - Knowledge of general accounting principles. - Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. - Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns. - Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
