The University of Vermont invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach, women’s soccer. The person filling this 10 month (August 1 - May 31) position is expected to assist the Head Coach in all phases of the women’s soccer program. This includes coaching, player development, recruiting, and administrative duties such as coordinating training and travel schedules, video analysis, and completing compliance tasks.
Bachelor’s Degree. • Minimum of one year coaching experience; collegiate coaching preferred and/or collegiate playing experience; passion for teaching and growing the game.
Goalkeeping experience preferred Ability to recruit within NCAA rules. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communicative, and computer skills. • Understanding of social media platform navigation. • Commitment to the mentorship and development of student-athletes. • Ability to write and edit correspondence for recruiting. • Satisfactory completion of a criminal background and DMV check prior to employment.
Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test annually and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Athletic Department).
