DePauw University is accepting applications for a part-time assistant coach for football (defense). This is a renewable, 10-month appointment and does not include benefits. DePauw University is an NCAA Division III Institution competing in the North Coast Athletic Conference and in the last five years under head coach Bill Lynch, the football team has a cumulative record of 35-15.
This position serves as one of two part-time assistant coaches for the football program and it is an excellent position to gain hands on coaching experience and experience all facets of collegiate coaching. The part-time assistant coach will gain experience in all facets of program management including recruiting, practice and game preparation, student-athlete development, and administrative responsibilities related to running a successful program. High school diploma or GED, required; Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Candidate must have demonstrated organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Preference will be given to candidates who desire a career in coaching. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive on behalf of the University. Current certification in first aid, CPR and AED is required and must be maintained throughout their appointment with DePauw University.
