Eastern Oregon University, an NAIA institution in La Grande, Ore., seeks a qualified applicant to serve in the role of an Assistant Coach for the Women’s Soccer program on the main campus. This position will assist the head soccer coach in all facets of coaching, and operations. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
The assistant coach/graduate assistant will initiate and consistently recruit student-athletes to EOU;
Expected to perform all aspects of the recruiting process, including scouting, phone calls, providing recruits with accurate details regarding scholarship eligibility and programs at EOU;
The assistant coach/graduate assistant will be heavily involved in all coaching and teaching aspects, staying consistent with the head coaches’ philosophy and objectives;
Coaching, training, and running individual workouts with players;
Expected to engage in fundraising, and stewardship of positive relationships with the community;
A strong understanding of technology and efficient computer skills to support operations of the men’s soccer program at EOU.
Bachelor’s Degree. For admission into the MBA program, your bachelor’s degree must be in business or related fields (Agribusiness, Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc). If your degree is not in business, you can take additional coursework to be considered.
Admission into an EOU Graduate Program (MS or MBA)
A comprehensive understanding of Collegiate Soccer
Direct experience on a team, as an athlete, coach or assistant
Demonstrated writing proficiency
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously, while also working well under pressure situations
Understand and be able to effectively manage social media technologies
Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience with the recruiting processes
A willingness or desire to be a college coach, after completing a master’s degree

Additional Salary Information: This is a paid/tuition remission position that will, in total, cover up to one less than the total credits per term, and does not include fees. A competitive stipend will also be included with this position.
