The Dubuque Soccer Club (“DSC”) located in Dubuque, Iowa is seeking a motivated, inspiring and dedicated leader to become the club’s Assistant Director of Coaching. The candidate should have an exceptional skill set, a “development first” philosophy and the ability to work well with a team of people.

Leading teams (coaching, training, and management) in our competitive soccer program
Assisting with administrative planning for the entire competitive program (9U-18U)
Support event logistics such as camps, leagues, tournaments, etc.
Assist Director of Coaching in retention and recruitment of qualified coaches.
Lead coaching educational training sessions for staff coaches.
Represent DSC to the soccer community to advance the DSC reputation and standing.
Attend monthly Board Meetings, communicate with Board Members and advise on all soccer issues.

Have an outgoing, charismatic personality with the ability to effectively communicate with volunteers, parents, employees, prospective members, and other stakeholders.
Being flexible and a willingness to wear different hats at times
Ability to think and plan strategically and practically to convert visions into reality.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with growing the enrollment of soccer programs.
Compensation: Competitive salary. Incentive opportunities, such as camps, are also available.
USSF license or NSCAA license(s) preferred.
Playing experience is required.
Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.
At least 3 years’ experience coaching youth soccer is preferred.
Coaching education experience at the national, state or local level preferred.

To guide players through the three levels of development, based on their commitment, ability, and desire to compete.
