Assist the Athletic Director in annual budgeting and financial planning by providing allocation and expense projections for the department; monitor, maintain, and enhance the internal and external financial reporting function; maintain and reconcile departmental ledgers to the university accounting system; perform and oversee team and administrative travel, university procurement card, and other functions on a daily, monthly, and annual basis; produce financial report for the NCAA, University System, and University to include annual EADA report and NCAA financial audit; coordinate the inter-relationship between the Athletic Department and the Comptroller’s office, faculty, staff, and other campuses; perform reviews of Athletic accounts to ensure accuracy and generate monthly budget report; and administer the inventory of equipment and supplies. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Budget Management or a related area. Experience working in NCAA Division I Athletics Department. Knowledge and skill in accounting budgeting techniques and principles. Strong knowledge of computers and various software packages used for word processing, spreadsheets, graphs, and tables. One to three years working in a NCAA Division I Athletic Business Office. Excellent communication skills to include written communication. Must have a strong work ethic and be flexible and dependable. Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines. Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize, exercise discretion, and work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
