St. Joseph's College, a 4-year College located in Brooklyn, New York invites applications for the position of Head Men's/Women's Swim Coach. SJC-BK participates on the NCAA Division III level and is a full member of the Skyline Conference.
Job Description: This position is a part-time position that reports to the Director of Athletics and Recreation. The person in this position is responsible for running a competitive swim program which includes but is not limited to providing leadership/direction to student-athletes and assistant coaches, identifying and recruiting academically and athletically talented student-athletes, retention, scheduling, budget oversight and complying with NCAA/Conference/College rules and regulations. The candidate is expected to represent the College on campus and within the community while providing a positive experience for student-athletes.
Candidate must demonstrate a strong professional work ethic and unwavering commitment to the academic success of students. She/he must also demonstrate success in coaching swim, recruiting student-athletes and strong motivation, organizational and communication skills. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license. A minimum of 3 years assistant coach experience, or 2 years head coach experience (prefer head coach experience at the college or high school level). Playing experience and a BS/BA in related field required.
