Support the Varsity Men’s and Women’s Division III Rowing Programs. Example of Duties: This position involves frequent verbal, written, and email correspondence with students, parents, faculty and staff. The successful candidate will: •Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of coaching, program and team management, and planning and execution of practices •Assist with all Race day duties •Recruit Prospective Student-Athletes •Assist with off-season, in-season training, strength and conditioning programs •Adhere to and ensure compliance with departmental and College rules and regulations •Ensure compliance with IRA rules for the Men’s Team and NCAA Division III rules for the Women’s Team •Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Athletic Director

1-3 years of coaching experience or extensive rowing background
Proficiency in basic computer skills
Must also be able to perform duties within the normal bounds of an office environment as well as sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work outdoors, on a boat and in a variety of weather conditions and must be able to demonstrate a variety of techniques to student athletes
Must be First Aid/CPR and Lifeguard Certified and possess Michigan Boating Safety certification

Desired Qualifications: Previous collegiate rowing and coaching experience is preferred. The successful candidate will be someone who is a self-starter, is able to work independently, can understand and comply with all NCAA and IRA rules and regulations, is able to adapt to a changing workday schedule, has excellent organization and communication skills, and is be able to work odd hours and weekends.
