Northwest Missouri State University, a NCAA Division II member of the Mid-America Athletics Association (MIAA) located in Maryville, Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for its Women’s Softball Graduate Assistant position beginning in the Fall of 2018.
The graduate assistant will assist the head coach and assistant coach in any manner necessary in order to have successful practices, games and overall quality of the Northwest Softball Program. The primary responsibility of the graduate assistant is to provide full support of the program to which the individual is assigned. This position will support the School of Health Science and Wellness and Athletics Department programs as assigned.
Other expectations include attending and supervising weights and conditioning sessions; assisting in day-to-day activities such as planning and setting up practices, instructing athletes, organizing work schedule for softball games, equipment distribution and any other necessary duties. Position may require working with sports camps as needed.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Must be fully accepted in a graduate program. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in 8 hours of graduate work OR 2.75 GPA in Undergraduate degree. Collegiate playing experience is required.
