Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director
Under limited supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Internal Operations (AADCIO) is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and review of the institution’s NCAA compliance program. The AADCIO is also responsible for the daily operation of the compliance program including rules education, rules interpretations, coordinating rules compliance efforts, initiating waivers, managing the scholarship equivalencies, conducting required NCAA compliance reports, and all compliance related duties. The AADCIO heads up the Office of Athletic Compliance consisting of the AADCIO and any compliance office personnel designated to the office of compliance. The AADCIO may also have other internal operations responsibilities, duties and oversight such as budget, facilities, transportation, events and program oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for NCAA/Conference/Institutional Compliance
Assist Eligibility Officer/Registrar with eligibility certification as assigned
Assist Athletic Academic Advisor with athletic academic eligibility as needed
Assist Financial Aid Office with development and monitoring of financial aid awards and limits
Coordinate web-based compliance software program for department
Direct special projects such as NCAA rule seminars, clinics, workshops related to department and rules compliance
Monitors official and unofficial visits, and all other recruiting activities
Prepares a file for each prospective student-athlete which contains the decision of the NCAA Eligibility Center, the National Letter of Intent, NCAA Compliance Packet and ENMU Grant-in-Aid forms
Serves on President’s Athletic Advisory Committee and the Athletic Compliance Committee
Conduct compliance related reports such as the annual EADA, NCAA Financial Report, NCAA Sports Sponsorship and Demographics report and other similar reports. This would be with assistance and cooperation from the athletic office budget personnel, as well as the institutional budget personnel and other resources
Conducts financial benchmark reports as requested
Assist as needed with event management and event administrative responsibilities
Assist with Facility Coordination and operations
Assist with team transportation logistics
Possible oversight responsibilities of some sport programs
Work cooperatively with other departments of the University
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Minimum Job Requirements:
A master’s degree in a related field is required
A minimum of two years full-time experience working in the field of intercollegiate athletics is required with a minimum of one-year full-time experience working in NCAA Compliance.
Intercollegiate athletic administrative experience in financial aid, recruiting, and/or eligibility disciplines, including freshman eligibility preferred.
Experience with finances and budgets preferred

Knowledge of budgets and finance
Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply federal and state guidelines and regulations
Knowledge of computerized records management systems
