The Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation seeks a Development Coordinator to assist with the Falcon Pride Club Annual Giving program in support of Air Force Athletics. This position will work with his/her assigned supervisor on the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program for Air Force Athletics.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Increase revenue generation in the Falcon Pride Club’s annual giving program through calls, visits, solicitations, and stewardship of new and existing Club members. Will become the first point of contact with annual athletic donors under $10,000.
-To promote the message of the Falcon Pride Club by executing a coordinated mix of communications and solicitation strategies involving email, direct mail, phone, and personal visits, all focused on growing and shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support for intercollegiate programs.
-To develop and execute plans for donor development and solicitation improvement. Identifies potential prospect groups and develops programs accordingly. Evaluates trend analysis for opportunities of increased revenue with quantifiable goals.
-Oversees donor acknowledgement process and prepares communication from Falcon Pride Club.
-Manages and process all gifts made to Athletics.
-Assists with online data entry and year to year updating
-Performs general office support duties, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, maintaining appointments and calendars, ordering supplies, assisting with correspondence and written and verbal outreach to prospects.
-To manage and execute events surrounding fundraising and stewardship for donors to Air Force Athletics.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. One to three years of experience in annual giving, marketing, or advertising, preferably in an intercollegiate athletics environment. Experience with direct mail, telemarketing, Internet marketing, statistical analysis, market research, annual budget planning, project management, print production helpful. Exceptional oral and written communication skills with emphasis on excellent customer service skill set. Working knowledge of personal computer, word processing, spreadsheets, and database software. Working knowledge of Advantage software system is preferred. Careful attention to detail. Experience in team environment and strong interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a background investigation. Position is subject to random drug testing.
