POSITION DESCRIPTION: Head Coaching responsibility in Volleyball with teaching in an activity-based physical education program.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for organizing and administering all phases of the Volleyball program, including the recruitment of student-athletes to this highly selective liberal arts institution. Be knowledgeable of and abide by all college policies, NCAA Division III policies and rules, and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) requirements. Other responsibilities include teaching a variety of activity courses throughout the year, and/or other duties as assigned by the department chair and the athletic director.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Physical Education or an appropriate field completed (strongly preferred) or near completion. At least 3 years of successful teaching and coaching experience is required. Demonstrated ability to coach and teach successfully at the college or high school level, an understanding of and commitment to academic and athletic excellence in a highly selective liberal arts environment, and a commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy.
