UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Director of Discovery and Advertising.
Under the direction of the Associate A.D. of Brand Advancement, this position is focused on defining and executing marketing initiatives for UCF Athletics that will position it as the most innovative and premiere athletics department in the country. The Discovery team is focused on activities that lead directly to the successful execution of three primary outcomes: generating revenue, increasing attendance at events, and successfully positioning/enhancing/protecting the UCF Athletics brand.
Responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to:
Responsible for the marketing strategy and execution of UCF's sports programs, with particular emphasis on ticketed sports
Manages UCF Athletics' data warehouse
Conducts ongoing marketing research to assist with pre and post season planning and analysis
Manages, builds and tracks marketing automaton email campaigns.
Writes copy for marketing materials including (but not limited to) email, radio, print and online marketing efforts.
Oversees digital ad strategy and builds out digital ad campaigns.
Responsible for all ad buys and tracking of advertising budget (e.g. print and digital).
Supports the creation and dissemination of marketing creative and editorial.
Utilizes analytic reports to continue to refine email marketing strategy and other marketing efforts
Quantitatively analyzes the results of marketing programs, making adjustments when necessary.
Manages market research, and possesses an expert understanding of the marketplace and fundamental marketing challenges that confront UCF Athletics.
Lead generation for new season ticket sales, group tickets, and corporate partnerships
Collaborates with the Director, Data Analytics and Revenue Generation to develop advance sales reports and manage database contacts
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of appropriate experience. Prefer 5+ years progressive marketing experience with emphasis on digital campaigns, analytics and problem solving. Strong creativity, attention to detail, communication and organizational skills also preferred.
