The Athletics Department at Bryant University invites applications for the 10-month, part-time position of Intern Athletic Trainer. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 22 varsity sports, and is a member of the Northeast Athletic Conference (NEC). This position reports to the head Athletic Trainer.
Assist with daily operations of the Bryant University Athletic Training Room, including, but not limited to: injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of athletic injuries, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, education and counseling of student-athletes, and athletics-related health care administration in consultation with and under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer,Team Physician(s) and other qualified medical personnel. Team assignments based on experience. Past team placements have included volleyball/softball, football, swim/track, and soccer/lacrosse.
Eligible for or certified BOC. Eligible for RI State licensure. CPR/AED certified. This position requires availability on nights, weekends and some travel. Certain requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate persons with disabilities.
Regular attendance at assigned job site and the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and constituents are essential functions of this position.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and drive a golf cart.
Non-standard hours, some travel required.
Additional Salary Information: $10,000 stipend for 10-month position (08/01/18 to 05/31/19). Housing is provided on campus.
