The University of East London (UEL), England, is seeking to recruit male and female tennis players as both undergraduate and postgraduate student-athletes for September 2018 enrollment.
The scholarships on offer are ideal for British and EU players who wish to return to the UK after finishing their NCAA commitment and US players looking for a new experience wishing to continue to develop their tennis whilst gaining a graduate degree.
The UEL tennis programme supports athletes in fulfilling their University tennis commitments in addition to providing a platform for involvement at ITF and British Tour level. Over the past four years UEL players have won National championships, gained world ranking points and been successful in winning events on the British Tour.
Both our Men’s and Women’s teams play in the Premier tier of the British Universities league.Working in conjunction with our high performance partner WimX, UEL provides one of the leading tennis programmes in the UK.
Based at both Lee Valley on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic site and the prestigious Connaught Club, London. Our Coach, Andrew Foster reached the 4th round of Wimbledon and has worked with a range of WTA/ATP ranked players.

The UEL campuses are a 10 minute tube ride to the centre of London and provide easy access to transport links with Europe. Applicants must secure their place to study to be eligible to receive an award.
Successful applications will be invited to spend some time in the UK over the Summer prior to the start of the programme.
The successful applicant will receive a reduced tuition fee and access to the full tennis programme (up to 6 days a week of coached squads), a complete package of sports science support (including physiotherapy) and tournament support.
Exceptional applicants may receive additional funding based on ability.
All successful applicants will have access to the US federal aid loan system. There are no restrictions on eligibility, regardless of how many years an athlete has competed in the NCAA.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or equivalent in a subject related to their chosen area of study. This is a competitive application process and scholarships are awarded to the strongest candidates first.
