POSITION DESCRIPTION: Non-tenure track, faculty position combines Head Coaching responsibility in Football with teaching in an activity-based physical education program. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for organizing and administering all phases of the Football program, as well as recruitment of student-athletes to a highly selective liberal arts institution that places a high value on diversity. Other responsibilities include teaching a variety of activity courses throughout the year, and/or teaching content courses such as CPR/First Aid, Principles and Methods of Coaching, and/or other duties as assigned by the department chair and the athletic director.
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Physical Education or an appropriate field completed (strongly preferred) or near completion. At least 5 years of successful teaching and coaching experience is required, and head coaching or coordinator experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to coach and teach successfully at the college or high school level, an understanding of and commitment to academic and athletic excellence in a highly selective liberal arts institution, and a commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy.
