The Central Wyoming College main campus is located in Riverton, a city of about 10,000 on the banks of the Wind River. The campus and community lie in the Wind River Valley, a large lowland area bounded by mountains on three sides. The area has a wide range of environmental zones from cold desert to alpine. The Head Coach for Women’s Basketball is responsible for managing an intercollegiate basketball program to include recruiting, instructing, and coaching students and coordinating various program related activities. The Head Coach of Women’s Basketball is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Central Wyoming College and the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports science, or other directly related discipline from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Three years coaching experience to include experience in a college setting or instructional/coaching experience in physical education curriculum. Basketball coaching experience preferred.
First Aid and CPR certified or ability to be certified within 90 days of hire.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
College coaching and recruiting experience.
