The primary purpose for this role will be soliciting new and incremental donations for the John Purdue Club (JPC). The Development Consultant will play an important role in all fundraising and donations activities including outreach, phone calls, emails, activities, and special events.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Increase membership within current communities and develop new memberships among individuals and organizations not currently represented.
Performs outbound calls for JPC in order to create sales, memberships, and/or donations opportunities.
Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets while exceeding client expectations in value and customer service
Grow memberships and donations significantly each week by attracting additional business leads
Maintain computerized records of all prospects, members, and donors within the applicable database to ensure accurate and up-to-date files at all times
Make 80-100 outbound calls daily
Ability to work Athletic events including home games and special events in evenings and on weekends
Promote and administer all of the benefits of a JPC membership in the community
Maintain guest lists, gather and prepare registration materials and other duties as assigned for special events.
Prepare media materials for distribution. (i.e. copying, filing, mailing, e-mailing)
Additional Roles and Responsibilities:
Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports as needed.
Other duties as assigned

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Database management experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
Previous experience in related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in athletics and/or professional and higher education fund-raising, marketing or related field
Required Training and Education:
Bachelor’s degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing and/or Business or equivalent experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
