This is a full-time, benefits eligible head coaching appointment that also includes teaching in the required Physical Education and Wellness program. The coaching responsibilities include management of all facets of the intercollegiate football program to include but not limited to: administration, budget management, alumni stewardship, recruiting, scheduling of competitions, team travel, weekly practice sessions, counseling of students, and compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations. Teaching responsibilities include instruction in the required Physical Education and Wellness course program. Additional responsibilities may include department wide duties as assigned
3-5 years coaching experience preferably at the college/university level. A Bachelor's degree is required preferably in a field related to physical education and/or proven instructional experience. Master’s degree is preferred. Sport specific certification if recommended. Proven experience in recruiting to a highly selective institution is desirable. Strong administrative and interpersonal/communication skills and computer skills are essential. Appropriate certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Biohazards are required or to be completed within 30 days of hire. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a background check.
