Under the direct supervision of the Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics, the Assistant Director of Athletics for Media and Communications is responsible for the supervision of all Athletic Communications personnel, maintaining statistical records, marketing, and public relations for the Department of Athletics. The Assistant Director for Media and Communications will serve on the Athletic Leadership Team as a key advisor to the Associate VP and Director of Athletics. This individual is primarily responsible for enhancing the image of the university’s athletic department, while following the policies and regulations set by the Board of Trustees and university administration. Additionally, the Assistant Athletic Director of Media and Communications will advise, develop and manage strategies to promote student-athletes and athletic teams’ accomplishments using social and local media outlets.
Must have expert knowledge of Dakstats or Stat Crew Statistical Software, Wirecast and/or other broadcast streaming technologies, working knowledge of NAIA Rules and Regulations as well as be fluent with design and video editing software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects.
