Illinois State University, a NCAA Division I institution, invites applications for the position of Women’s Basketball/Volleyball Office Graduate Assistant. This pre-professional, 12-month position includes a tuition waiver and a stipend of $1,200 per month. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for Illinois State's Graduate School.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assist with organizing team travel and pre-game logistics; assist with recruiting database and on-campus visits; organize and plan team events; organize alumni correspondence and events; produce newsletters and other external communication. As a part of your responsibilities, you will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Missouri Valley Conference and the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the Athletics Department and Illinois State University.
Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree; eligibility for appointment per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook; graduate student at Illinois State University majoring in Recreation Administration, or Sports Management.
Preferred qualifications include: collegiate playing or administration experience; computer skills including Word, Excel, and Publisher; good communication skills via phone and email for arranging travel.
