South Dakota State University’s Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Coach position with its Cross Country/Track and Field program for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Cross Country/Track & Field and will assist with various administrative and coaching aspects of the program.
Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into a graduate program. The preferred candidate should have competed in collegiate distance running, with coaching experience as a plus. Additional requirements include strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills; the ability to work well in a team environment; the capacity to model mature, responsible leadership. The candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays and travel with the team to competitions. Applicants must submit to a criminal background check, subject to review and approval by South Dakota State University.
