Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division 1A and Big Ten Conference Institution is seeking an assistant Coach for Women's Volleyball responsible to the Head Coach for performing or assisting with a wide variety of coaching duties in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the team. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: identify, recruit, coach and develop high level athletes for the program. Provide high-level coaching and instruction, including individualized skill training, video sessions, and individual goal setting. Assist with practice and game preparations. Organize official and unofficial visits and work with compliance and other areas of the department to enhance the success of the program. This position may also include budgetary responsibilities for the program. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
