West Virginia Wesleyan College, an NCAA Division II institution, seeks an Assistant Coach for Women's Lacrosse who, under administrative direction, provides coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Coach. Assists in the planning and directing of recruitment, conditioning, training, and performance of student athletes. Assists the Head Coach, in monitoring student athlete’s performance in furthering the success of the team and in meeting academic and eligibility criteria.
Must have strong organizational skills, need to be a good communicator both oral and written. Should be technologically proficient.
Lacrosse Assistant will adhere to all NCAA and Mountain east conference rules and regulations in recruitment and competition. This is a part-time position perfect for someone looking to start a coaching career or someone interested in getting involved in the sport of Women's College Lacrosse.
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of relevant experience
Playing and/or coaching Experience at the collegiate level preferred
Ability to communicate, motivate, and counsel student athetes efffectively as well as being self motivated, positive, energetic and willing to travel.
NCAA Member, Division II competing in the Mountain East Conference in the Atlantic region. A private liberal art institution located in North Central West Virginia.
