Position Summary The Head Women's Volleyball Coach is responsible for all aspects in leading a competitive NCAA Division I volleyball program to include, but not limited to: coaching (practice and in-game), recruiting, fund-raising, positive encouragement towards student-athlete development, scheduling, adhere to all budgetary guidelines, and hiring staff. The successful candidate must be fully committed to all NCAA, Southland Conference, and University of the Incarnate Word Athletics Department policies and procedures, and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units.
This position is considered a “Responsible Employee” under University of the Incarnate Word's Sexual Misconduct Policy with reporting responsibilities as set out in the policy.

Description of Job Duties This position is responsible for all aspects of practice and competition preparation, recruitment of student athletes, and the comprehensive operation of the program with student-athlete welfare as a guiding principle. Management of the program must adhere to all budgetary guidelines, as well as NCAA, Southland Conference and University of the Incarnate Word policies. This position is expected to manage a team that is highly competitive within the Southland Conference. The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach will perform other related duties as requested.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of recruiting college level academically and athletically prepared student-athletes. Must successfully manage the myriad of on-going responsibilities within a competitive college volleyball program, including effectively managing budget, travel, staffing, and parent communications. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Work Experience Three years of coaching experience at the University level.
Preferred Qualifications Five years of coaching experience at the University level.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Work Hours Various hours, including nights and weekends.
