The Head Coach of Mount Mary’s NCAA Division III soccer program is an integral member of the Athletic Department and requires an enthusiastic, high-energy individual who is determined to see that the program’s roster and success goals are met. This individual must be committed to the Athletic Department pillars to “Recruit, Retain, and Develop”. Mid-August – Early November The Director of Athletics works primarily with students, coaches, faculty, and other administrative offices to ensure that each Mount Mary University student receives a quality experience.
Primary Responsibilities: Recruitment—coordinate recruiting efforts to meet discussed benchmarks to ensure the soccer program is playing and practicing at, or above, the ideal number of student-athletes. Prepared to give monthly recruiting status reports to Athletic Director Prepare and conduct all practice and game plans Prepare travel arrangements for team away games Follow budget guidelines set forth by Athletic Director Responsible for putting a schedule together that meets NCAA Division III requirements Attend staff and /or institution meetings when required Promote and encourage a positive learning experience for student athletics Knowledge of, and adherence to, NCAA Division III rules regarding recruiting, eligibility, and compliance. Hire, train, supervise and evaluate assistant coaching staff. Perform additional duties as assigned.
