Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Head Men's Soccer Coach (AA# 07-7-114) who possesses the coaching expertise and organizational skills needed to oversee, organize, and work with all aspects of a successful NCAA Division II athletics program. Full-time, 12-month position which requires the organization and supervision of all aspects of the men's soccer program, including: recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success, ability to relate to student-athletes, compliance with NCAA rules, PSAC, and Bloomsburg policies and regulations, scheduling, CPR certification, practice and game planning, training, budget management, fundraising, community engagement, camps and clinics, overseeing a graduate assistant coach, and other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Anticipated start date is January 27, 2018. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience; an excellent benefits package is included.
Bachelor's degree is required. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of coaching at the intercollegiate level. Formalized training through the USSF, the United Soccer Coaches, or comparable international qualifications and demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population is preferred.
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and criminal background and successful completion of CPR certification. Finalists for the position must communicate well and successfully complete an on-campus interview process.
Bloomsburg University of PA occupies a campus of 282 acres. The campus includes 54 buildings and is divided into two sections, about a quarter mile apart. Instructions facilities and residence halls are located on the lower campus while two student apartment complexes and athletic facilities are located on the upper campus.
