The head coach is responsible for all aspects of the sport to include successfully organizing and implementing a recruiting/retention plan, integrating the program into the campus community, supervising practice/contests, supporting student-athlete success and managing the program in accordance with department/college/NJCAA rules and regulations. Additional duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director.
Coaching responsibilities include all aspects of the intercollegiate sport program Planning and executing practice, recruiting, training, and supervising athletes Scheduling athletic contests and arranging transportation in conjunction with the Athletic Director In conjunction with the Equipment Manager, Maintaining athletic equipment, supplies and facilities; and enforcing college, conference and NJCAA rules and student requirements. Bachelor’s Degree in related field Experience in coaching as a head or assistant coach or have played sport at the NJCAA level or higher. Knowledge of recruiting and the NJCAA rules of competition and eligibility.
Experience coaching or participating in the sport at the High School or College level Strong organizational, management and teamwork skills Solid administration and computer skills Excellent interpersonal communication skills Willingness and desire to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds
Additional Salary Information: This is a part time position that is funded partially by athletics and partially through a faculty contract. Salary is dependent upon course load each semester.
