The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations provides daily supervision of the ticket operations for The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) athletic and non-athletic events which are held at The McKenzie Arena, Maclellan Gym, Frost Stadium, and Finley Stadium, as well as events where UTC is acting host for the NCAA or Southern Conference. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •Preparing daily box office reports required to complete ticket deposits. •Maintaining office records to account for ticket transactions •Maintaining cash advance funds balance for change to cashiers for daily ticket sales •Preparing cashiers daily sales envelopes with change fund and balance cashiers total funds •Processing transfer vouchers for internal use with campus constituents •Maintaining daily safe balance of change funds on site •Maintaining and processing paperwork for UT system for arena event settlements and Arena escrow account. •Assisting the Director with management of Ticket Office responsibilities for Olympic sports and arena events as assigned •Supervising employees for the completion of day-to-day and game day activities. •Assisting in game day management of football and basketball and other events as assigned. •Managing customer relations, including donor contacts and accounts receivable.
Bachelor’s Degree Required.
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in Ticket Operations, Intercollegiate Athletics Preferred, to include accounting and daily Box Office operations/ procedures.
Management experience preferred.
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain positive relationships with external and internal constituencies, and provide excellent customer service.
Must have strong communications skills, both oral and written.
Experience working with ticketing software required; Spectra (Formerly Paciolan) experience preferred.
Must have working knowledge of MS software (I.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
Must be familiar with Southern Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
