Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy that supports the values, mission and brand of the Purdue University Athletics Department in ways that engage a variety of audiences, including fans, donors, recruits and campus community members. Coordinate and manage daily content for all Purdue Athletics social media accounts and social content programs, representing all 18 teams and the athletics department, with content planning focused on generating engagement, growth and revenue. Manage and participate in the Purdue social community, engaging fans, answering questions, providing customer service and serving as the voice for the Boilermakers in this space. Create conversations about Purdue to foster positive attention on the athletics department in both proactive and reactive functions. Manage all aspects of game day social media posts for all home football and men’s basketball games as well as insuring coverage at events covering all other sports.

BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, management or related field required.
4 years of experience involved in social media strategies and execution required.
Marketing/Communication experience with a college or professional sports team is preferred.
Must be able to encompass the strategic mission of Purdue University and Intercollegiate Athletics with tact and diplomacy at all times. Strong interpersonal, creative, motivational and communication skills are essential, including the ability to communicate well in writing and speaking before groups. Excellent organizational, project management, problem solving and customer service skills required. Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels necessary. Must be able to effectively meet established deadlines in a timely manner. Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology impacting athletics marketing, promotions and communications processes. Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office. Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms outside of personal use required. Experience with video editing software preferred. Must be able to work weekends and travel. Knowledge of Purdue a plus but not required. Ability to communicate and adhere to University, Big Ten Conference and NCAA policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Additional Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
