The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations leads all accounting efforts within the ticket office and its operations.
Essential Functions: - Assist in the sale and reconciliation of all ticketed SMU Athletics events. Assists with deposits and financial transactions - Lead sales and operational events for women's basketball and assist with football and men's basketball. - Travel with football team when needed to away games and bowls, as well as NCAA, NIT and conference tournaments for basketball. -Lead women's basketball ticket operations and assist with football and basketball ticket operations - Assist with Mustang Club donations - Provide customer service - Occasional evening and weekend work is required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree is required.
A minimum of one year of work experience in a ticket office, which included financial reconciliation, is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in writing. A strong customer service orientation is essential.
Candidate must possess strong organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Candidate must demonstrate strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze problems and devise solutions.
Candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel. A strong working knowledge of ticketing software is essential.
