The University Of California, Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Performance Intern. The Winter-Spring internship will run from January-May 2018. Duties include assisting the full-time Athletic Performance coaching staff in all aspects of UCLA Athletic Performance program including but not limited to warm-ups, strength and speed training, conditioning, and athlete assessment. Minimum requirements include, a bachelor's degree or a degree in progress in an exercise science related field, CPR and First Aid certified, and a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Effective August 1st, 2015, NCAA legislation mandates that only certified personnel can coach athletes unsupervised, therefore, CSCCA (SCCC) or CSCS certification is preferred. A minimum time commitment of 30 hours per week is required. These positions are for VOLUNTEER coaches, no compensation will be provided.
