Franklin Pierce University, College at Rindge, is seeking an enthusiastic new team member to join the staff in the Center for Academic Excellence as an Athletic Academic Coordinator. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, exempt position reporting to the Director of the Center for Academic Excellence.
The successful candidate will provide direct academic support to students, with a primary focus on student athletes needing assistance as well as act as the liaison for the department in communicating with coaches. This position will also serve as one of the Designated School Officials for international student athletes. Duties also include coordinating the Peer Tutoring Program in order to maintain the standards of the College Reading and Learning Association.
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Education or a related field and have a combined experience working between athletics and academics in higher education, preferably working with students. Previous experience of a minimum of two to four (2-4) years of working with students in a post-secondary setting is required. This person will demonstrate excellent administrative, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to serve students in a personal and professional manner. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident of the United States in order to serve as a Designated School Officer.
